Violence, Gun Control and the Times We Live In. What is the Solution?
The gun violence in Uvalde,Texas was pure evil. Being a volunteer news journalist who is not seeking fame or fortune, tears filled my eyes as Matthew McConaughey explained how a mother held her child’s green sneakers in her lap. Due to the high powered weapon that was used by the gunman at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde it was difficult to identify the deceased children. The only way she identified her child was through the green sneakers. Violence continued to occur in other parts of the country such as in South Philadelphia where bullets spreaded on a main street where crowds mingled. Three people were killed and numerous people were injured. Violence through the lack of control, wars that have killed millions, disease, death and greed is abundant today based on inflation. Is there a solution? The solution is Jehovah God’s Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6:9,10 whIch says, “You must pray, then, this way: ‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be santified. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth.‘“ New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (Study Edition) What is a Kingdom? A kingdom is: “a politically organized community or major territorial unit having a monarchical form of government headed by a king or queen: the eternal kingship of God: the realm in which God’s will is fulfilled...” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary) Why should we believe in this Kingdom that Jesus Christ taught us to pray for?
This Kingdom that Jesus Christ rules over is the absolute solution. This government with its power and authority rules over us through complete love. The publication entitled, INSIGHT ON THE SCRIPTURES, Volume 2, page 167, featured an article called, Government with power and authority. The information revealed, “Jehovah’s kingly power toward his earthly creation was visibly demonstrated in many ways by his royal Representative. By God’s spirit, or active force, his Son exercised control over wind and sea, vegetation, fish, and even over the organic elements in food, causing the food to be multiplied. These powerful works caused his disciples to develop deep respect for the authority that he had. (Mt 14:23-33; Mr 4:36-41; 11:12-14, 20-23; Lu 5:4-11; Joh 6:5-15) Even more profoundly impressive was his exercise of God’s power over human bodies, healing afflictions ranging from blindness to leprosy, and restoring the dead to life. (Mt 9:35; 20:30-34; Lu5:12,13; 7:11-17; Joh 11:39-47...)” These were not the only accomplishments by Jesus through Jehovah God’s holy spirit that proves why Jesus effectively rules over that Kingdom that is mankind’s only solution to the violence, death and sicknes. “Finally, he showed God‘s power over superhuman spirits. The demons recognized the authority invested in Jesus and, rather than risk a decisive test of the power backing him up, they acceded to his orders to release persons possessed by them.“ (MT 8:28-32; 9:32,33; compare Jas 2:19...)“
The INSIGHT publication went on to explain, “All of this was solid proof that Jesus had kingly authority and that this authority came from no earthly, human, political source. (Compare Joh 18:36; Isa 9:6,7...)“ Has any rulership or government over the past centuries proven to guarantee an end to all sickness, death and violence? Jesus proved that he was capable of doing all these things through the backing of his Father Jehovah God. Please pray and think about this kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for as the real solution.
